Meet Robert Repko
Common Sense Justice
My name is Bob Repko and I am running to become the next Judge of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
As someone who is proud to call Bucks County my home, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share with you my vision and commitment to serving our community. I believe I bring trusted experience to deliver justice for all of Bucks County and I would be honored to have your support.

By way of background, I was 12 years old when my father left my mother and 3 younger siblings. After a short time, we rarely saw him except in court, as he fought my mother on everything throughout their divorce. He often missed paying child support or failed to follow court orders. He fought my mother for custody just out of spite. He even allowed us to be evicted from our home and generally refused to acknowledge our existence, even years later at both funerals for my grandparents.

Although his abuse of the legal system occurred frequently, the Court did little to address or stop it, and that led to one moment that would forever shape my future. While in Court one day, my siblings and I sat in the courtroom watching the Judge and lawyers making jokes and laughing before allowing my father to once again escape accountability. It was at this moment that I looked at my mother, the woman who was then working five part-time jobs to support her four young children, and saw the look of hope and apprehension turn to crushing defeat and sadness. It was then that I knew I had to do something. It was then that I knew I needed to become a lawyer so I could do everything in my power to make sure the system would never fail anyone else like it did my family. It is this deeply personal commitment to justice that drove me to become a lawyer, that drives me every day to fight for my clients, and that I will bring to the Bench my first day on the job.

My life experience has also made me very much aware of the social inequities faced by many in our community. As a husband in an interracial marriage and the father of two bi-racial children, I deeply understand that not everyone is treated the same way and this awareness motivates me to ensure that the legal system works equally for everyone. As a result, I am committed to making sure that everyone, including those who may feel marginalized or overlooked, are heard and treated fairly.
As an attorney, I bring decades of public and private practice experience that makes me uniquely ready to serve on the Bench on day one.
After serving as an Assistant District Attorney here in Bucks County, I entered private practice where I have spent the last 23 years working every day to help clients primarily in family law matters such as Divorce, Custody, Support and Domestic Violence. I have also helped people in other areas of the law such as criminal defense, juvenile law, commercial litigation, guardianship of incapacitated individuals, and Children & Youth matters. I was appointed by our Bucks County Commissioners to serve as the Solicitor for Bucks County Health Services, and I have also been appointed to serve as the Conflict Solicitor for Warminster Township.

Throughout my legal career I have been dedicated to helping people in our community, often at their worst moments in life, and I will bring that same commitment to serving everyone honestly, fairly and with common sense as a Judge.

Additionally, I proudly served as the President of the Bucks County Bar Association in 2019. During my time in that position, I established the first ever Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and focused our Association on community service initiatives, such as Backpacks for the Homeless, Bucks Knocks Out Hunger and Operation Paperback, where we collected and distributed books to our veterans, and service men and women, around the world. Currently I serve as the Chair of a statewide committee for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, I am a member of the Doylestown Township Planning Commission, I am active in my church, and I continue to support the Bucks County Bar Foundation and other local non-profits to help benefit our Bucks County community.

My candidacy for Judge is grounded in principles of trusted experience to deliver justice, fairness and common-sense results for the people of Bucks County. My diverse personal, professional and legal background also equips me with the knowledge and perspective necessary for the challenges faced by Bucks County Judges today. As such, I would be honored to have you support my campaign for Judge so that, together, we can work toward a more just, safe and equitable future.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have or to discuss my vision for the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.
Warm regards,
Robert "Bob" Repko
